MS Project 2010 Crashing

Issue: When opening a plan published plan from a PWA site, MS Project 2010 client crashes when you try to modify anything and stays in "not responding" state for a long time.

Cause: The uploaded plan may be corrupted.

Resolution:
1. Apply Project 2010 Hotfix
2. Create a back up of the projects.
3. Republish the corrupted plan.
         a. Open the problematic plan.
         b. Save it locally.
         c. Close the Project 2010 client
         d. Open the locally saved plan.
         e. Publish it to Project Server 2010 site and replace the existing file when prompted.

Provisioning a New Project Web Application Site


Here's a step by step guide in provisioning a new PWA site in Sharepoint 2010 w/ Project Server 2010 installed.
1. Open the Central Administration Console
2. Click Application Management > Manage Service Applications
3. Click on the Project Server Service Application. On this example, it is called NP Project Server:
4. Click Create Project Web App Site.
5. Fill in the details of the site such as the Name of the Web Application, Path, Admin Account, Database Server & Databases. You may also keep the default values on the database section.


 
6. Click OK and wait till the site is completely provisioned.

Citrix Licensing Server on SCOM 2007

Issue: After Installing SCOM 2007 R2 Agent on Citrix Licensing Server version 7.5, the Licensing service stopped and changed to disabled state. The event viewer shows the following errors:

Event ID 1004:
Detection of product '{30CFE7C4-9C7F-461B-AE10-89DDED2CAE88}', feature 'CitrixLicensingProductFeature', component '{B967B815-D9D8-4094-9C17-A76DDF93059B}' failed. The resource 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Citrix\LicenseServer' does not exist.


Event ID 1001:
Detection of product '{30CFE7C4-9C7F-461B-AE10-89DDED2CAE88}', feature 'CitrixLicensingProductFeature' failed during request for component '{D0EBE218-FC25-5A69-A95A-C5C79CC68186}'

Error calculating license information:
Received error: 0x800a0005: Invalid procedure call or argument


Resolution:
1. Uninstall SCOM 2007 R2 Agent
2. Upgrade the Citrix Licensing Server to the latest version
3. Re-install the SCOM Agent
